GENDER CLUB

Empowering girls is more than a goal—it is the heartbeat of our mission. We are committed to giving every girl the tools to shatter barriers, the resources to thrive academically, and the confidence to step forward as a leader who transforms her community.

Core Pillars of Impact

Empowering the Next Generation of Female Leaders.

Educational Advocacy:

We provide resources and support to reduce school dropout rates among girls, ensuring they have the same access to learning as their peers.

Leadership & Confidence Building:

Monthly workshops focused on public speaking, decision-making, and community leadership to help girls find and use their voices.

Health & Wellness Education:

Providing essential information on menstrual health and hygiene, which is one of the leading causes of school absenteeism in rural regions.

STEM Inclusion:

Encouraging girls to participate in our ICT and Digital Literacy programs, bridging the gender gap in technology from an early age.

TOGUETHER, WE CAN BUILD A MORE INCLUSIVE FUTURE!

SUPPORT NOW

Why This Matters

In many regions of Ethiopia, girls face unique challenges—from domestic responsibilities to a lack of basic hygiene resources—that pull them away from the classroom. The Gender Club isn’t just a meeting; it’s a support system that ensures no girl has to choose between her circumstances and her education.
"The Gender Club gave me the confidence to speak in front of my class. Now, I know that my dreams for the future are possible." — Gender Club Member.
"My name is Hadia, and as the leader of the Gender Club, I am proud to advocate for equality in our school. Our mission is to break the barriers that prevent girls from staying in education and to raise awareness about the unique challenges they face. Over the past year, with PIE’s support, we have reached significant milestones. We have successfully fostered a deeper understanding of these issues throughout the entire school community, ensuring that every girl feels supported, valued, and empowered to finish her education." — HADIA Professor and leader of the Gender Club.
