Project Initiative Ethiopia

PIE - Project Initiative Ethiopia is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting education and community development in Ethiopia. Our focus is on providing essential resources and opportunities to schools and local communities to ensure a brighter future for the younger generations.

PIE Ethiopia's Journey

PIE Ethiopia's mission began in 2022 with a Zoom fundraiser, providing urgent aid to war-affected and displaced families in Afar. Recognizing the need for lasting change, we decided to channel the funds raised by Berhan students into a sustainable initiative. We identified education as a crucial long-term project to break the cycle of poverty in Afar.

To achieve this, we collaborated with the Ministry of Education in Addis Ababa, seeking a school that shared our vision and objectives and had strong community engagement. The Arado School in Afar's Asiata region was selected, marking the beginning of our partnership.

This collaboration led to the establishment of our charity, dedicated to advancing education in remote schools. Our core objectives are to:
