Projects
Gender Program
Girls in low-income settings miss or struggle at school during menstruation since they are unable to manage their feminine hygiene effectively. This has a negative impact on their education and future prospects. PIE in cooperation with Arado school addressed this issue by providing a sewing machine and trained the girls and boys who join our Gender Club to sew reusable feminine hygiene products that are then made available to girls at school.

Solar Project
With the hope of making these remote schools independent with their own electric power supply to guarantee the sustainability of projects like computer courses and sewing projects.

Horticulture
Last year we provided the tools and seed money to start a school gardening and fruit tree planting project which will contribute towards self sufficiency and financial independence.

ICT Program
The global digital divide is widening, especially in countries like Ethiopia where computer access remains a luxury. This issue is even more pronounced in remote villages like Afar. Without access to computers and the internet, students are cut off from the information technology age, hindering their development. PIE believes that providing elementary schools with computer access is crucial to enhancing the quality of their education, bridging the digital divide, and combating poverty at its roots.

Library
We helped establish a library with a few shelves and a few benches and are hoping to fill the shelves with more books.

Teaching Aid Supply Production
We formed a team of teachers who we provide materials to produce teaching aids for their classes.
